The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Vineyard is cut from the same cloth as the Georges III with its darker, herbal, classic style. Tobacco leaf, currants, and earthy notes define the bouquet, and it’s full-bodied and has a tighter, more compact mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish. I love its sense of elegance and purity, and it’s a gem to drink over the coming 15+. There are 328 cases produced.

Winemaker Jeff Ames
Jeff began working with Thomas Brown in 2001 for projects including Schrader, Maybach, Outpost and TOR. As a young winemaker from Memphis, he had no idea just how fortunate he was to land where he did. As either lead or assistant winemaker, Jeff has his fingerprints on twenty 100-Point, perfect wines—quite an accomplishment for his short time in the valley. At Boich Family Cellar, Jeff has delivered multiple 98-point and 99-point wines, waiting patiently for his first perfect score. And it will likely be Perennius. 
 
Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper – One of Napa Valley’s oldest vineyards, Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper yields ripe fruit full of balance and power. Perfectly trellised vines soak up morning fog from the San Pablo Bay, while the robust foliage of the vines protect growing clusters from summer heat. Today the vineyard is planted with some of the valley’s most preeminent Cabernet clones.
