Quietly powerful, dense with alluring oak spices and late-picked fruit flavors, this full-bodied, velvet-textured Cabernet-dominant blend is generous and inviting to drink, but also balanced and structured for the long haul. Concentrated, deep and layered, it is meant for drinking with appreciative friends or family in the future. 
Blend: 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot. Aged 22 month in French oak barrels.

Generations is a Bordeaux-style blend created to honor our family's past, present and future. The fruit is night-picked from our estate vineyards and aged in new French oak barrels. Aromas of berries and pomegranate dominate with notes of tobacco, bay leaf and dark chocolate. This wine is full-bodied with a firm, somewhat buttery texture; it entices with flavors of mixed berries, vanilla, and toasty oak.
 
Above all else, Charles Krug Winery is a family winery. Peter Mondavi Sr. and his sons Marc and Peter Jr. continue their dedication to producing the finest Bordeaux style wines in the Napa Valley. With this wine they pay tribute to the three generations of the Mondavi family that has owned and run the winery since the mid-1900's. This estate bottled Reserve is one of the top wines of their Napa Valley red wine production.
