Winner #1 Pinot in The US- San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.

The nose explodes with baking spice, cranberry, and pomegranate. The initial fruit notes give way to subtle notes of pepper followed by the entrancing scent of aged leather and dark tobacco‒like a fine cigar. The palate is considerably brighter, with notes of juicy cranberry and deep pomegranate balanced by leather and spice. This is as dark and brooding as Pinot Noir gets. Only 212 cases produced.

  • Halleck Vineyard is a premium Pinot Noir producer of Sonoma County, California. Vines were first planted by Jennifer and Ross Halleck in 1993 with the inaugural vintage of Halleck Vineyard released in 1999.
  • The one-acre Halleck vineyard sits at 900 feet of elevation, reportedly one of the highest vineyards in the county. Despite this elevation, persistent coastal fog still envelopes the site in the second half of the growing season, keeping temperatures cool and allowing grapes to mature slowly.
  • Today, the portfolio of wines has expanded; Chardonnay, Zinfandel, Gewurztraminer and Sauvignon Blanc are produced from several different sites in the Sebastopol area.
